This certification is recognition of Peterson Health’s commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care.
What state is the patient in during this phase?
Stable. The patient moves on to Phase 2 when the immediate issue has been resolved and the patient is healing post-procedure.
What is the typical time period for this phase?
Typically between 3-5 months. Length of care will vary depending on the level of rehabilitation needed. Most insurance companies cover 36 rehab visits.

Our individualized treatment plans are a combination of physical and educational components with the goal of creating heart-healthy lifestyle changes. Rehabilitation services consist of:
- Assessment of your personal risk factors for heart and blood vessel disease
- Education and support to make healthy lifestyle changes (weight management, heart healthy eating, tobacco/smoke limitations
- Personalized exercise plans and monitoring of blood pressure, lipids/cholesterol, diabetes
- Psychological/stress assessment and counseling
- Improved communication with your doctor and other healthcare providers following the cardiac event
