The Preparing for Childbirth class covers third trimester topics, signs of when labor is near, stages of labor, recovery, and the immediate postpartum care.
We will review birth preferences, medical procedures and decision-making, induction, fetal monitoring, reasons for a cesarean, breastfeeding, and family-centered birth tips.
By learning the fundamentals of labor, you and your support will be prepared for what to expect and how to manage and make the most of your birthing process.
We encourage expecting mothers to attend with a support person(s). Classes are offered in-person only.
Participants will receive an interactive InJoy book with access to additional education materials to use for continued learning at home.
All meetings are held in Classroom B on the second floor of Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville.
