Kerrville Artist Jeanne Heise surprised Peterson Health with over a dozen framed watercolor paintings to display permanently. Reading about the hospitals award-winning and state recognized Community Art Lending Program in the media, Jeanne decided to select a collection of her work to donate to the hospital for display where needed the most.

Assisted by her friend and Guadalupe Watercolor Society colleague Cheryl Grundy, Jeanne presented the collection of Monday, February 20th to Lisa Winters, Director of Marketing and Community Relations. Shares Winters, “This was such a wonderful surprise All of the artwork was framed and ready to hang on the walls and we have several units in the hospital where the work can be displayed and appreciated by patients, families, our employees, and guests. We don’t have a large budget for artwork so we are always grateful and appreciative when the artists lend or donate their art to share with other at the hospital. Art is truly healing and we are surrounded by wonderful talent throughout multiple Peterson facilities.

Jeanne is currently the President of the Guadalupe Watercolor Group and Vice President of the regional Southern Watercolor Society. She is active in many of the local arts organizations where she exhibits and teaches classes. She has exhibited her award-winning paintings in many national and local art exhibitions.
