The Breastfeeding class will teach you best practices for a successful breastfeeding journey with your newborn. You will learn when to feed your baby by watching for feeding cues, feeding patterns and guidelines, and how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk. You’ll learn about breast care, hand expression and pumping, and warning signs.  We will discuss breastfeeding lifestyle through partner support and involvement, self-care, substances to avoid, support groups, returning to work, and lactation support services.

We encourage expecting mothers to attend with a support person(s). Participants will receive an interactive InJoy book with access to additional education materials to use for continued learning at home.
