The Newborn Care class will review newborn traits, crying and comforting, breastfeeding basics, newborn care and safety.

Additional resources will be discussed like When to Call Your Baby’s Healthcare Provider, Car Seat Installation, How to Perform Infant CPR, Infant Choking First Aid, and a Baby Supplies Checklist.

Babies do not come with instructional manuals but we can help you get started on the right track for taking care of your newborn.

We encourage expecting mothers to attend with a support person(s). Classes are offered in-person only.

Participants will receive an interactive InJoy book with access to additional education materials to use for continued learning at home.

All meetings are held in Classroom B on the second floor of Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville.
